Aims and objectives of Nacelle, Tower & Basement Rescue Module The aim of this module is to enable the participants to perform injured person rescue operations in a WTG nacelle, tower, and basement, by using industry standard rescue equipment, methods, and techniques, exceeding those of GWO work at height. The Nacelle, Tower and Basement Rescue Module shall ensure that the participants are able to: 1.Perform: a. rescue operations using the casualties personal fall protection on the injured b. rescue operations in a WTG nacelle, tower and basement using a handheld lamp c. transportation of an injured person horizontally over the length of the turbine d. transportation of an injured person to a higher platform using rescue up techniques and equipment (both manual and power-driven) 2. Apply clear communication and guidance to other emergency responders (e.g. vessel or ambulance crew) including coordinating the handover of an injured person (Skills, intermediate level) The participants shall: 1. acknowledge the benefits of having a coordinator in a rescue team, and the responsibility that comes with it 2. take part in discussing which advanced rescue preparations and emergency & communication procedures apply in their own organisation 3. commit to demonstrating a pro-active approach and role model behavior

Duration: 8 hours Validity: 24 months The Solar Technical Electrical (S-TTE) module provides participants with the technical knowledge and practical skills to perform electrical installation, connection, and verification of photovoltaic (PV) systems safely and in accordance with GWO and IEC standards. It includes theoretical learning and hands-on practice focusing on DC and AC circuits, measurement, and troubleshooting.Participants will learn how to:– Understand and apply electrical principles of DC and AC circuits in PV installations;– Identify components of PV systems: inverters, junction boxes, combiner boxes, and protective devices;– Perform DC wiring including polarity checks, insulation resistance, and continuity verification;– Connect AC circuits safely to the grid or local distribution board;– Apply grounding, bonding, and equipotential connection methods correctly;– Test and document voltage, current, and insulation resistance using appropriate measuring instruments;– Verify protective measures (RCDs, fuses, breakers) according to standards;– Identify, analyse, and correct common electrical installation faults safely;– Prepare commissioning reports and verify system readiness before energisation.Objective:Upon completion, participants will be able to perform electrical installation and verification tasks in solar PV systems safely and efficiently, ensuring technical quality and compliance with GWO and international standards.

This course is the first step for auto mechanics to expand their internal combustion engine repair skills to electric vehicles. It follows the ASE Level 1 guidelines to become an “electrically-aware person” and learners should be able to pass the ASE xEV Electrical Safety Standards Version 1.1 Level ONE exam. This exam certifies automobile technicians to work safely on the low-voltage components of electric vehicles. Duration: 16 hours Validity: Unlimited The Crane & Hoist Inspection & Maintenance (CHIM) module enables participants to perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and functional tests on cranes and hoists used in wind turbine environments, in accordance with GWO V2 (2025) and manufacturer requirements. The module combines classroom learning with extensive hands-on practical exercises to ensure safe and compliant maintenance practices.Participants will learn how to:– Understand legal requirements, standards, and manufacturer manuals related to lifting equipment inspection;– Perform pre-use, periodic, and annual inspections of cranes and hoists according to procedures;– Identify, classify, and record mechanical, structural, or electrical defects such as wear, deformation, or corrosion;– Perform functional tests, including limit switch checks, braking systems, and control unit verification;– Conduct preventive maintenance: lubrication, tightening, and cleaning of key components;– Apply lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other safety measures before maintenance activities;– Complete inspection checklists and maintenance reports in accordance with GWO and internal standards;– Recommend corrective actions and ensure defective equipment is removed from service until repaired.Objective:Upon completion, participants will be able to safely inspect, maintain, and verify cranes and hoists in wind turbine environments, ensuring compliance with GWO standards, manufacturer documentation, and site-specific safety requirements.
