Role Description
The RenewAcad Training Center in Constan?a is seeking a PV / GWO Solar Trainer with relevant technical experience in photovoltaic installations and the competence to deliver training programs both for the qualification “Photovoltaic Systems Installer” and for the GWO Solar Safety Training (SST) modules.
The role involves training participants from a technical perspective (installation, commissioning, O&M), as well as from a safety perspective in the utility-scale solar environment, in accordance with GWO methodology.
Activity Locations and Conditions:
- Primary activity location: RenewAcad Training Center – Constanta
- The role requires availability for national travel
The trainer will deliver:
- Occupational Courses – Photovoltaic Systems Installer
- Mounting of structures and panels
- DC wiring and AC integration
- Installation and configuration of inverters
- Electrical measurements and PRAM testing
- Commissioning
- Operation and preventive & corrective maintenance
GWO Solar Safety Training (SST) Modules
- Solar Manual Handling
- Solar Fire Awareness / Electrical Safety
Training will be delivered in accordance with:
- Defined learning objectives
- Assessment criteria
- GWO methodology (where applicable)
- RenewAcad internal procedures
Mandatory Requirements:
- Technical higher education (electrical engineering / power engineering / related fields)
- Relevant practical experience in photovoltaic installations (installation + O&M)
- Solid knowledge of DC/AC systems, electrical protections, and grounding
- Experience in using measuring equipment
- Advanced English level (documentation and training delivery)
- Pedagogical skills and experience delivering technical training
- Ability to assess trainees’ competencies
- Strong attention to safety and HSE compliance
Considered an Advantage:
- Experience in utility-scale photovoltaic projects
- Experience delivering or attending GWO modules (BST / SST)
- Electrical certifications (e.g., ANRE)
- Experience working at heights
- Knowledge of LOTO procedures and working on energy construction sites
- Experience preparing for audits or compliance with international standards
Responsabilities:
- Deliver technical and safety training courses in accordance with the approved curriculum
- Follow learning objectives and assessment criteria (GWO where applicable)
- Coordinate practical activities under maximum safety conditions
- Identify and communicate risks specific to the solar environment (DC hazards, arc flash, backfeed, working at heights)
- Assess and validate trainees’ competencies
- Maintain training equipment in optimal condition
- Collaborate with the HSE department and participate in audit processes
