Wind Power Energy S.R.L. has the honour of being a partner in the project "RESkill4NetZero - Powering up key renewable energy career pathways", a strategic initiative coordinated by EIT InnoEnergy and co-funded by the European Union. The project runs from 1 December 2024 to 30 November 2028 and addresses one of the most pressing challenges in the renewable energy sector: the shortage of a well-qualified workforce.
RESkill4NetZero aims to develop and pilot a scalable and replicable model for the technical and engineering profiles essential to achieving Europe carbon neutrality goals. The project focuses on identifying high-demand roles across several renewable energy industries, including wind, solar, batteries, hydrogen, geothermal and critical raw materials.
The main objectives include designing a skills strategy for technical and engineering roles, developing and piloting a modular and flexible VET programme for upskilling and reskilling, as well as implementing a European-recognised certification system.
As a dedicated partner, Wind Power Energy contributes its expertise to support the creation of a European network of talent in renewable energy, enabling qualified technicians and engineers to transition easily between energy sectors.
The certification and testing programme piloted within the project is built on a state-of-the-art curriculum, available in at least 5 European languages and using the latest educational technologies in instructional and experiential design.
Aligned with key European Union initiatives, such as the Large-Scale Renewable Energy Partnership and the Net Zero Academies, the project encourages collaboration with industry associations to ensure the long-term sustainability of its results and the development of a unified European standard for renewable energy skills.
The training session allows the participant to carry out rescue operations in wind turbines in a safe way. The module includes PPE handling, maintenance and inspection. T

On 31 January 2025, the first General Assembly of the RESkills4NetZero project took place, marking the official start of this ambitious project funded through the Erasmus+ Blueprint programme. Coordinated by EIT InnoEnergy, the project runs over a four-year period and its main goal is to support the activities of the Renewable Energy Skills Partnership.
The consortium brings together 20 partners from 8 countries: Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Romania, Sweden and the Netherlands. Through transnational collaboration, the partners aim to address the sector skills gap in a coordinated way and to create clear educational pathways for the new technical and engineering roles in renewable energy.
The project develops training programmes by creating and delivering curricula tailored to key roles, which include hands-on learning and state-of-the-art technologies. In parallel, European-recognised certifications for renewable energy skills are being developed, thus supporting workers mobility and employability.
At the same time, RESkill4NetZero promotes careers in the green energy field through campaigns dedicated to workers in transition and to underrepresented groups, contributing to a long-term impact and to alignment with European policies such as the "European Skills Agenda" and the "Pact for Skills".
