Discover the future technology with our new Energy Storage Course! The increasing capacity of renewable energy makes battery storage an essential solution for energy sustainability. Our course provides valuable insights into the benefits and challenges of energy storage for a greener future.

 

The course is taught by three lecturers: Sebastian Enache, Mihaela Popescu, and Alexandru Bratosin, each with over 10 years of active experience in the field, recognized for their innovations advancing the industry into the future.

 

Course Structure:

 

Commercial Part - 8 hours

 

You will learn about the analysis of the Romanian market and available offers, legislation in energy storage, and how to develop a business plan. Additionally, there will be a case study at our battery storage station in Mireasa, where participants will observe the technical and commercial operations of such a facility.

 

The course curriculum covers the EU and Romanian energy market context in 2024, global trends in prices and technologies, energy storage and its types, characteristics and advantages of battery storage, design and development of storage systems in Romania, legislation on storage from 2023-2024, technical and commercial requirements for the market, TSO authorization process, battery case studies in Romania including financing and business plans, and technical operation of the 216 MWh Mireasa BESS.

 

Technical Part - 8 hours

 

This section covers storage solutions, equipment, energy management software, and includes a case study at our Mireasa station where participants will become familiar with the equipment and systems used in this project.

 

The course curriculum presents the EU and Romanian energy market context in 2024, global trends in prices and technologies, energy storage and its types, characteristics and advantages of battery storage, design and development of storage systems in Romania, legislation from 2023-2024, technical and commercial requirements for the market, development and TSO authorization process with case studies on stand-alone and behind-the-meter batteries in Romania, and an overview of the 216 MWh Mireasa case study, including technology used, SCADA, equipment, and suppliers.
