Wind Power Energy has initiated a project to construct a factory for renewable energy components in Romania, which will produce, among other things, robots for cleaning photovoltaic panels, systems for monitoring meteorological parameters, and biodiversity monitoring systems.
On April 4th, the company signed a land concession contract to implement a project aimed at building a factory for wind and photovoltaic park components and conducting research and development activities for renewable electricity storage solutions.
The project developed by Wind Power Energy includes the construction of a production hall and the necessary infrastructure for its operation, comprising a production hall, parking and storage areas, a photovoltaic system, and an energy storage system for its own use.
“At this moment, we aim to bring to a forefront area of Romania's energy transition a project involving the construction of a production unit for robots cleaning photovoltaic panels, dust monitoring systems in photovoltaic parks, as well as integrated systems for monitoring meteorological parameters and biodiversity. In this project, we intend to invest over EUR 2 million in the next two years, and soon we will also start the construction of a battery energy storage facility on a neighboring land, an investment of over EUR 8 million,” said Sebastian Enache, director of Wind Power Energy.
“A few months ago, through Mr. Mihai Melczer, I had a discussion with the representative of Wind Power Energy, Mr. Sebastian Enache, about an investment they wanted to develop in the Jiu Valley, the construction of a factory for renewable energy components in Romania. I proposed a location in the area of the former Petrila mine, which was agreed upon and found suitable for their investment. The land has now been auctioned and leased, and Wind Power Energy will carry out this project, which will create new jobs in the coming years in Petrila,” stated Vasile Jurca, mayor of Petrila.
Wind Power Energy has been present in Hunedoara County for over four years through the RENEWACAD project, which has attracted over 2400 people to renewable energy events, with more than 750 participating in professional training courses in the wind and photovoltaic industries. RENEWACAD currently has four training centers nationwide in Constanța, Petroșani, Rovinari, and Bucharest, and plans to open another center in Arad by the end of the year to train personnel for the construction of wind and photovoltaic parks.
